Roles & Responsibilities of Retail Customer Service Associate

The Retail Customer Service Associate is responsible for providing excellent service to customers, assisting with product inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role involves working in a retail store to handle sales transactions and customer concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer questions about products, services, and store promotions.
  • Process sales transactions and handle payments accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Help restock and organize merchandise.
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Promote store loyalty programs and sales offers to customers.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift merchandise when necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Being bilingual is a plus.

Working Conditions:
