Roles & Responsibilities Interior Designer

An Interior Designer  is a professional who plans, designs, and decorates interior spaces to create functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. They work on a variety of projects, including residential homes, commercial spaces, and public buildings, focusing on aspects such as layout, color schemes, furnishings, and overall ambiance.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to understand their design needs and preferences.
• Create design plans, mood boards, and layouts for interior spaces.
• Select furniture, color schemes, materials, and décor that match the client’s vision and budget.
• Work with contractors and suppliers to bring designs to life.
• Ensure designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and adhere to safety regulations.
• Oversee the installation of designs and make adjustments as necessary.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Interior Designer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
• Excellent understanding of color, materials, and design principles.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• A portfolio of previous design projects.

Education & Experience:

• A degree in Interior Design or related field is preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in interior design (preferred).
