Job Description
A Telecom Consultant is a professional who provides expert advice on telecommunications systems, solutions, and strategies to businesses and organizations. This role involves assessing current telecom infrastructure, recommending improvements, and assisting with the implementation of new technologies to optimize communication systems, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. Telecom Consultants work with a wide range of technologies, including VoIP, data networks, mobile systems, and unified communications, and are instrumental in helping companies navigate complex telecom environments.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in engagements that involves helping for digital transformation of all the processes enlisted in the New Telecom Act 2023.
This will involve extensive study of the new telecom Act, study of the existing digitization status by studying 40+ operational portal, discussions with the stake holders to understand their wingrequirement of digitization of processes, closely work with IBV of CDOT with findings/recommendations, get involved with IT teams for getting modules development, get feedbacks from the concerned wings to ensure that digitization is on expected lines and meets the objective of the Act.
Use Telecom domain knowledge to suggest improvements and business process re-engineering which would improve overall user experience, betterment of service delivery timelines and improve system efficiency.
Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and coordinate subordinate while provide updates to Management or above as appropriate
Participate and assist in preparing for meetings/presentations with DoT wings, IBV of CDOT Management.
Help prepare reports and schedules that will be delivered to management and other parties
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with concerned personnel
Build strong internal relationships within Consulting team and with other services across the organization
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
A bachelors degree Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communications/Information Technology/Computer Science/MCA
Min 5-6 years of experience of working with a reputed firm as a Telecom Consultant/Analyst.
Interested in business process re-engineering, finance technology implementation for finance process efficiency and digitalization.
Good understanding of Business Value Chain and IT finance/taxation related software applications is an advantage.
Exposure on telecom Revenue related planning and analysis, risk assessment, financial metrics monitoring and reporting is an advantage.
Excellent skills in both written and verbal communication.
Strong leadership, teamwork, across-disciplines and countries collaboration.
Strong project management with multiple projects and diverse team members.
Strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills, presentation and communication skills.
