Roles & Responsibilities of Retail Sales Associate

A Retail Sales Associate assists customers in retail settings by providing product information, processing transactions, maintaining store displays, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. They play a key role in meeting sales goals and upholding store standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Assistance: Greet and assist customers, helping them find products that meet their needs.
• Sales Support: Promote and sell products, explaining features and benefits to customers.
• Product Knowledge: Stay informed about product details and promotions to answer customer questions.
• Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Process Transactions: Handle cash register, process sales, and manage returns or exchanges.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or issues.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Ability to work in a team and meet sales goals.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
