Roles & Responsibilities of Physician

A Physician diagnoses, treats, and helps prevent diseases and injuries. They examine patients, review medical histories, prescribe medications, and recommend treatment plans. Physicians may specialize in fields such as internal medicine, pediatrics, or surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose Patients: Examine patients, ask about symptoms, and order tests to identify illnesses or conditions.
• Treat Patients: Prescribe medications, perform procedures, and recommend treatments to help patients recover or manage chronic conditions.
• Monitor Health: Keep track of patients’ progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Provide Preventive Care: Educate patients on healthy habits and offer vaccinations or screenings to prevent diseases.
• Consult with Specialists: Refer patients to specialists or work with other doctors to provide
• comprehensive care.
• Maintain Records: Document patient information, treatments, and progress in their medical history.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) and a valid medical license.
• Clinical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of medical conditions, treatments, and procedures.
• Communication: Ability to explain medical information clearly and listen to patients’ concerns.
• Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and develop treatment plans for complex health issues.
• Compassion: Caring attitude toward patients and their families.
