Roles  & Responsibilities of IT Network Engineer

An IT Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting an organization’s network infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN systems, firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking hardware/software to ensure reliable and secure network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set Up Networks: Plan and install computer networks.
• Fix Problems: Troubleshoot and fix network issues.
• Keep Networks Secure: Ensure networks are safe from threats.
• Update Systems: Keep network software and hardware up-to-date.
• Help Users: Assist employees with network problems.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Network Knowledge: Understand how computer networks work.
• Problem-Solving: Quick at fixing network issues.
• Security Knowledge: Know how to keep networks secure.
• Experience: Previous work with networks is helpful.
• Education: A Bachelor Degree or certification in IT or Networking is helpful.
