Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Sales Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. This role involves working closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to optimize sales strategies, forecast performance, and support the achievement of company revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and analyze sales data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts and performance metrics.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for growth and process improvements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and customer behavior to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure data accuracy by maintaining and updating sales databases and CRM systems.
  • Support the development of pricing models, territory plans, and sales targets.
  • Identify and address challenges or discrepancies in sales data.
  • Provide insights to guide decision-making for product launches, expansions, and other strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • at least 3 years experience as a Sales Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of sales processes, KPIs, and CRM systems.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis is an advantage.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
