A Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and operation of an organization’s physical infrastructure and facilities. This includes overseeing building systems, ensuring the safety and functionality of facilities, managing space utilization, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The Facilities Manager plays a key role in maintaining a productive and safe working environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
Develop and implement facility management plans and strategies to optimize the use of space and resources.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Coordinate and supervise facility staff, contractors, and vendors.
Manage facility budgets and financial resources.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address maintenance and safety issues.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as tenants, clients, and government agencies.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facility management.
Plan and coordinate facility relocation or expansion projects.
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in facility management, business administration, or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Minimum of 8- 10 years of experience in facility management or a similar role.
Experience in the logistics , warehousing industry is preferred.
