Roles & Responsibilities of E-commerce Manager
An E-Commerce Manager is responsible for overseeing online sales and digital marketing strategies to drive revenue growth. They manage e-commerce platforms, optimize user experience, and implement strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Management: Ensure the e-commerce website is functional, up-to-date, and optimized for a seamless shopping experience.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to drive online sales, improve conversion rates, and achieve revenue goals.
- Product Listings & Inventory: Manage product content (descriptions, images, pricing) and ensure inventory levels are accurate for online orders.
- Digital Marketing: Collaborate with marketing teams to execute digital marketing campaigns, including email, social media, SEO, and paid advertising to increase website traffic and sales.
- Customer Experience: Monitor customer interactions on the website, addressing any issues or concerns to improve satisfaction and retention.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track website performance, sales data, and customer behavior using tools like Google Analytics, making data-driven decisions to improve performance.
- Order & Fulfillment Management: Work with logistics and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitors’ websites and industry trends to stay competitive and identify new opportunities.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce management, digital marketing, or online retail.
- Skills: Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce), digital marketing tools, SEO, and analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Other: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
