Roles & Responsibilities of  Retail Sales Associate

A Retail Sales Associate assists customers in a retail environment by providing product information, processing sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. They help maintain store appearance and support inventory and merchandising tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with product selection and queries.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products and promotions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor.
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment.
• Upsell or cross-sell additional products to enhance sales.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate issues as needed.
• Meet or exceed daily and monthly sales targets.
• Participate in store meetings, training, and promotional events.

Requirements:

• Good communication skills in English and Tamil.
• A friendly, helpful, and confident personality.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts.
• Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus.
