Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A Project Controls Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management aspects of a project. They ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the specified scope and quality. They work closely with project managers and teams to track project performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.

Responsibilities

  • Set up of project WBS & performance measurement baseline in line with contract and company SOP Support PM in data
  • validation, compliance, and monitoring of project performance for portfolio of projects (budget, actuals, ETC, accruals,
  • variations, subconsultant payments, trends, earned value analysis, billing and payment, reporting statement)
  • Support in preparation of variations (cost, hours and cashflow)
  • Certification and reporting of subconsultant payments
  • Reporting of project performance is set formats
  • Resolve timesheet issues to ensure accurate reporting
  • Reviewing impact of contractual terms and assessing risks and impacts on reporting
  • Supporting in preparation of bids and financial analysis

Tool Proficiency: Proficient in using advanced Excel. Speed is important
Experience in implementation of earned value analysis
Experience in interpreting and consolidating project financial data. Aware of P6 and planning tools
Manage corporate systems proactively, trouble shoot system issues

Problem Solving:Identify and address challenges, proposing innovative solutions
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls processes and system

Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with company policies
Implement security measures to protect sensitive data

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Department Managers to gather insights into project needs and provide support on metrics and project control measures

Qualifications required

Skills: Advanced Excel / macros, Project Control Systems, Earned Value Metrics, Consultancy Contracts, Interpretation of Project Financial Data, Communication, and collaboration with Teams.
Industry Background: AEC/PMC Consultancy
