Roles & Responsibilities
A Project Manager (Oil and Gas) is responsible for leading and managing oil and gas projects from initiation to completion. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety and regulatory standards. The Project Manager coordinates teams, manages resources, oversees project schedules, and addresses any technical, financial, or operational challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage oil and gas projects, including exploration, drilling, production, and construction.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to them.
Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure milestones are achieved on time.
Ensure that projects meet all safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Manage project resources, procurement, and logistics.
Communicate project status, risks, and performance to stakeholders and senior management.
Prepare and review project reports, cost estimates, and performance evaluations.
Ensure quality control and maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven experience in project management within the oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of oil and gas operations, equipment, and technologies.
Expertise in project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is preferred.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
