Roles & Responsibilities of IT Risk & Audit Manager

An IT Risk & Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing IT risk management activities, ensuring the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure are secure, compliant, and efficient. This role involves conducting audits, identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Audits: Check IT systems for security and compliance.
  • Assess Risks: Identify potential IT risks and problems.
  • Improve Security: Create rules to reduce risks and keep systems safe.
  • Monitor Systems: Ensure systems are secure and follow regulations.
  • Report Findings: Share audit results with management.
  • Work with Teams: Help other teams improve IT security.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Risk Management: Understand how to manage IT risks.
  • Audit Experience: Knowledge of IT audits and rules.
  • Security Knowledge: Know how to protect IT systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to fix security issues.
  • Experience: Previous experience in risk management or audits is helpful.
  • Education: A degree in IT or Cybersecurity is useful
