 Structural Engineer

A Structural Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure to ensure their strength, stability, and durability. They work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to develop safe and cost-effective structural solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design Safe Structures: Create plans for buildings, bridges, and other structures.
• Check Materials: Ensure materials can handle weight and stress.
• Follow Safety Rules: Make sure designs meet building codes and safety standards.
• Work with Teams: Collaborate with architects and builders.
• Inspect Sites: Visit construction sites to ensure the design is followed.
• Solve Issues: Fix any problems that come up during design or building.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience.
• Skills: Knowledge of engineering software and problem-solving.
• License: Professional Engineer (PE) license may be needed.

Working Conditions:

• Some travel to construction sites may be required.
• Hours depend on project deadlines.
