Roles & Responsibilities of Web Developer
A Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications. They work with front-end and/or back-end technologies to create responsive, user-friendly, and scalable web solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Websites & Applications: Design and develop websites, web pages, and web applications based on user needs and requirements.
- Ensure Functionality: Write clean, efficient code to ensure the site or application works smoothly.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure web projects meet the desired goals and standards.
- Optimize Performance: Improve website speed, responsiveness, and functionality across different devices and browsers.
- Troubleshoot & Debug: Identify and fix any bugs or issues on websites or applications.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest web technologies, tools, and trends to improve skills and development practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience with server-side languages like PHP, Python, or Node.js (preferred).
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and version control (Git).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or related field (preferred).
