Roles & Responsibilities of R&D Engineer
A Research and Development (R&D) Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing new products or technologies. They work on innovation, product improvement, and technical solutions to support the company’s growth and competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop New Processes: Research and develop new manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Test and Improve: Conduct tests on new products and processes, making improvements based on results.
- Collaborate: Work closely with production, design, and quality teams to implement new processes and solve manufacturing challenges.
- Prototype Development: Design and test prototypes to evaluate the feasibility of new manufacturing techniques.
- Troubleshoot: Identify and solve manufacturing issues, ensuring smooth production operations.
- Documentation: Maintain records of experiments, tests, and process improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in R&D or manufacturing engineering is preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and CAD software.
