Roles & Responsibilities of Event Manager

An Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events such as conferences, weddings, corporate functions, and festivals. They manage logistics, coordinate vendors, and ensure events run smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as weddings, conferences, and corporate gatherings.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and expectations.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and event logistics.
  • Coordinate with hotel departments (catering, housekeeping, front desk, etc.).
  • Oversee vendor negotiations and event setup.
  • Ensure high service standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle unexpected issues and troubleshoot during events.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new event planning strategies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in event planning or hospitality management.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and client relationship management.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of event management software (preferred).
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
