An Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a business or organization. They ensure that all departments work efficiently and effectively to achieve company goals and objectives. Key duties include optimizing processes, managing resources, maintaining budgets, improving productivity, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and coordinating teams to meet operational targets. The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and ensuring that the organization runs smoothly while delivering high-quality products or services to customers.
Responsibilities
· Ensure ground operations function smoothly and in a cost-effective way
Manage and streamline end-to-end cold chain logistics operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Handle the transportation of temperature-sensitive shipments, including pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.
Utilize and oversee tools and equipment specific to cold chain logistics to maintain optimal temperature and quality.
implement protocols for time- and temperature-sensitive shipments.
Supervise operational teams to meet efficiency and performance benchmarks.
· Build and nurture client relationships to ensure exceptional customer service
· Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
· Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
· Formulate strategic and operational objectives
· Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
· Manage budgets and forecasts
· Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs
· Recruit, train and supervise staff
· Service Levels, Claims, and Truck Management
· Manage & record temperature data using Dataloggers & ensure Conditioning, sufficient gel ice and dry ice wherever necessary for temperature-intact transportation of bio samples
Ensure the health and safety of the Team, assets and shipments
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor Degree, Logistics / Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Experience: 5 Years or more in similar position
Certification: 5S , Six Sigma or Kaizen, Finance for Non-Finance—considered as additional Qualification
Education: Bachelor degree in Industrial engineering or any related filed
Experience: 2-3 Years in same/similar role
