Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A Refinery Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in an oil refinery to process crude oil into refined products such as gasoline, diesel, and other petrochemicals. They monitor control systems, ensure the proper functioning of machinery, and adjust processes to optimize production while adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards. Refinery operators perform routine inspections, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and collaborate with engineers and supervisors to ensure efficient, safe operations.

Qualification:

Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering

Experience:- 3 years of operational work experience in refining edible oil.

Requirements:-

Good knowledge in Refining processes parameters.
Good processing knowledge of Edible Oils.
Good knowledge in Refining plants, machines and equipment.
Good knowledge in chemical handling and safety precautions.
Knowledge in QFS and Health and Safety and Environmental policies.
Good knowledge in Housekeeping, Hygiene, and sanitation practices.
Adhere to company s policies and procedures for Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality and Food Safety, Sanitation & Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environment and waste management.
Monitor Refinery processes parameters as per the design parameters (set-point in the PLC, oil temperatures, tanks levels, etc.) and raise any deviations.
Prepare chemicals to be used for daily operation.
Performs day to day operations in the Refinery as per standard operating procedures (SOP s,) and work instructions.
Coordinate with QFS chemist to take samples and ensure product conformity at each stage before further processing and moving to next stages, and for oil stored in the tanks to maintain specification.
