Job Description

Pharmacist dispenses medications, advises patients on how to use them safely, and provides information on managing health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispense Medications: Fill prescriptions accurately and safely, providing the right dosage and instructions.
Patient Consultation: Talk to patients about their medications, explain how to take them, and discuss possible side effects.
Check for Interactions: Ensure that prescribed medications won’t interact negatively with other drugs a patient is taking.
Advise Healthcare Providers: Work with doctors and other medical professionals to recommend the best medication options.
Monitor Patient Health: Help patients manage chronic conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure by advising on medication use.
Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of prescriptions, patient histories, and medications.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and a valid state license to practice.
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately measure, mix, and label medications.
Communication: Clear communication skills to explain medications and side effects to patients.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve medication-related issues or concerns.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of medications, drug interactions, and health conditions.
