Roles & Responsibiities of Retail Customer Service Associate
A Retail Customer Service Associate assists customers in-store by providing product information, handling transactions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. They play a key role in building customer loyalty and supporting store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer questions about products, services, and store promotions.
- Process sales transactions and handle payments accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Help restock and organize merchandise.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Promote store loyalty programs and sales offers to customers.
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift merchandise when necessary.
