Roles & Responsibilities of IT Risk & Audit Manager
An IT Risk & Audit Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT-related risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards. They oversee IT audits, evaluate system controls, and implement risk management frameworks to safeguard an organization’s technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Audits: Perform audits on IT systems to assess security and compliance with regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential IT risks and vulnerabilities.
- Enhance Security: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance system security.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor IT systems to ensure they remain secure and compliant.
- Reporting: Present audit findings and risk assessments to management.
- Collaboration: Work with other teams to improve IT security practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Risk Management: Strong understanding of IT risk management techniques and strategies.
- Audit Experience: Familiarity with IT audits and relevant regulations.
- Security Expertise: Knowledge of IT security practices and solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve security issues effectively.
- Experience: Previous experience in IT risk management or auditing is beneficial.
- Education: A degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field is advantageous.
